Born in Bernville, Tulpehocken Twp, Berks Co., PA to John George and Marie Elizbeth (Miller) Miller. Served two Tours of Service as a Private in the War of 1812, ie: 15 June -15 September, 1813 in Capt. Henry Welch's Co., 116th Regiment Virginia Militia, and 13 July-25 October, 1814 in Capt. Henry Welch's Co., 5th Regiment Virginia commanded by Col. Koontz. His discharge Paper shows he was stationed at Fort Nelson, Virginia in an Artillery capacity. My 3rd Great Grandfather.
