Alfred S. Weber, 53, of 57 N. Sallie Ave., died at 12:30 a.m. today at St. Agnes Hospital.
He was born Dec. 26, 1917, at Knowles, Wis., a son of William and Agnes Bath Weber. He married Lois Yungwirth on Nov. 6, 1948, at St. Mary’s Church.
Mr. Weber was a member of St. Mary’s Church, Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus Council 664 and Catholic War Veterans Good Shepard Post 1329.
He served with the U.S. Army in the South Pacific during World War II. He was employed by Medalist Industries.
Survivors include his widow; a daughter, Carol, at home; two sons, William and Charles, both at home; two brothers, Gregor of Sugar Camp, Wis., and Andrew of Chicago; and four sisters, Mrs. Alex Bertram of Fond du Lac, Mrs. August Zander of West Bend, Mrs. Armand Adelmeyer of Knowles and Miss Juanita Weber of Juneau.
An infant son, three brothers and two sisters preceded Mr. Weber in death.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Zacherl Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church. The Rev. John H. Goebel will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Honorary pallbearers representing the Knights of Columbus were Ambrose Kaufman, Emil Konen, Homer Murray, Karl Giebel, Matt Huber and Ed Lingenfelter.

Active pallbearers were David Yungwirth, Daniel Bond, Mark Adelmeyer, Richard Flood, Cyril Bertram and Roger Weber. Military graveside rites were conducted at Calvary Cemetery by the American Legion Trier-Puddy Post 75 Firing Squad.
Tage Swanson and Elmer Root were color guards; Joseph Karst and Clarence Fenner, color bearers; Robert L. Samuel, bugler; Bernard Maloney, Kenneth R. Bortner, John Pitas, John Wacynski, Edson Stubbs, Andrew Johnson, Robert Jantz, Henry Rucks and Arthur Mossong, firing squad; and Lawrence McEnroe, commander.
