According to Botetourt County Records, Onsite Peter Shaver Cemetery WPA with tombstone verification, Peter Shaver & His Wife Mary Trout Shaver are buried in Botetourt not at the Shaver-Deyerle Cemetery in Cave Spring, Roanoke Co., VA. No one has been able to figure out how the UsGenWeb Virginia Tombstone Project ended up with the incorrect information in the early to mid 80's. In April 1998, Thomas S Klatka visited Shaver-Deyerle Cemetery & reviewed documentation. He questioned Peter & Mary Shaver being the only ones without stones and no support documentation.
