Nipper died at his home following a short illness. He was a native of Tishomingo, but had lived in the Plain Community for the past 25 years. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Kathryn Nipper of Rt. 4, Florence; one son William H. Nipper Jr. of Florence; three grandchildren; three brother, Robert Nipper of Florence, Leonard Nipper of Booneville and Billy Nipper of Memphis, Tenn.' two sisters, Mrs Kate Robinson of Nashville, Tenn., and Mrs Bessie Rainer of Tennessee.
Pallbearers were Larry Nipper, Bobby Nipper, Mike Nipper, Jimmy Nipper, Sammy Craft and Willie Stringfellow.
