He is survived by his two daughters, Sharon (Steve) Polston of Warrenton, MO, Carol LeGrand of Warrenton, MO; daughter in law, Kathy Dothage of Rich Foundation, MO; brother, Roy (Robbye) Dothage of Warrenton, MO; two grandsons, John LeGrand, Jr. of Parkville, MO, Ryan Polston of Warrenton, MO; five granddaughters, Rebecca (Jim) LeGrand-Baker of Lake St. Louis, MO, Jana Dothage of St. Louis, MO, Kate (Ron) Rockwood of Jefferson City, MO, Lee Dothage of Belle, MO, Rachel Polston of Kansas City, MO; four great-granddaughters, Madeline Rockwood, Claire Rockwood, Audrey Rockwood, Isla Grace LeGrand; three great-grandsons, Grady Rockwood, John Robert Baker, James Baker; He is preceded in death by his father, Frank Dothage, mother, Emma Dothage, wife, Clara Dothage, son, Robert Dothage, brother, Howard Dothage, brother, Elger Dothage, brother, Orville Dothage, sister, Addie Bunge, sister, Grace Gloe. Burton served in the U.S. Army. Burton was a farmer most of his life and general laborer until retirement, he enjoyed gardening and hunting. He was a member of Frieden's UCC He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
