Christine was one of 15 children born to Christine and William Heckel. She was married to Werner Schulze, who died in 1990. During World War II, she was employed by the U.S. Naval Training Station in Waukegan, Illinois. After the war, she worked for Needham, Louis and Brorby Advertising Agency for many years. She also owned and operated a ladies' dress shop in Burbank, California. In 1979, she and her husband retired to Las Vegas. She established a scholarship fund for Rancho High School's Aviation Academy, which has benefited over 500 student pilots since its inception in 2002. In 2006, the school dedicated the Christine C. Schulze Aerospace Laboratory in recognition of her generosity. Survivors include her sister, Lydia Tower of Tarpon Springs, Florida; brother, Fred Heckel of New Port Ritchy, Florida; children, Guenter Bruckmann of Gilroy, California, Jack Schulze of DePere, Wisconsin, and Judy Jagger of Lawrence, Kansas; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
