Dylan Jacob Cruz, 27, born September 12, 1992 in Columbia SC, passed away peacefully January 18, 2020. He served as a 1st Lt in the USMC with the 10th Marines Division at Camp Lejeune, NC. A 2015 graduate of The Citadel, he was recipient of the Mr. and Mrs. George F. McCormick, Class of 1935, academic scholarship, completing a Bachelor of Science in H.E.S.S with Suma Cum Laude honors. Dylan was also an honors graduate from Fairfield Central High School, Class of 2011. He was the firstborn son of Ferdinand Cruz and Crystal Joy Cruz.
