Elizabeth D. Matuska, 68, Bloomingdale, Ohio, died Thursday in Ohio Valley Hospital, Steubenville. She was born Nov. 24, 1919 at Brilliant, a daughter of the late John and Mary Kovalan. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church, Smithfield. She was preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Kovalan. Surviving are her husband, Michael J. Matuska Jr.; a son, Michael J. of Bloomingdale; two daughters, Mrs. William (Mary Sue) Young of Bloomingdale and Mrs.George (Michalene) King of Wintersville; two brothers, Joseph and William Kovalan, both of Mingo Junction; two sisters, Mary Calhoun of Steubenville; and Ann Kovalan of Porter, Ind.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home, Smithfield, 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Therese Roman Catholic Church, Piney Fork, with the Rev. Donald Mantica. Burial will be in Northern Cemetery, Smithfield. Rosary devotions will be said at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, in the funeral home.
