Dorothea Christina Hoffman was born the daughter of Gottlieb and Anna Christina (Zeller) Hoffman. Records indicate that she was called Christina. She was born in Klostitz, Bessarabia, Russia on April 18th, 1868. On January 19th, 1889, Christina married Johannas Henne. They immigrated to the United States in 1902 and homesteaded in the Coleharbor, North Dakota area. Johannas was a farmer and Christina a housewife. They had six children who were David Henne, John Henne, Christine (Henne) Rivinius, Alexander Henne, Emelia (Henne) Engel, and Gottlieb Henne. She died in Coleharbor, McLean County, North Dakota on Feb. 28th, 1946.
