Obituary Notice:--

Mrs Rev. Ludwig Seibel passed away at the Harvey hospital on Sunday evening May 14, following a three week illness from diabetes, from which she suffered untold agony, but bore the burden with Christian fortitude.

Margaret Hermann was born in Russia, May 8, 1855, was married in 1874 to Christian Baumbach, and came to this country with her husband in 1876, settling in South Dakota. She became a widow by the death of her husband on April 22, 1912, and was united in marriage to Rev. Ludwig Seibel, of this city, on June 8, 1914.

The deceased leaves to mourn her demise a sorrowing husband, 9 step-children and four nephews, besides a number of distant ralatives.

The funeral took place in the M. B. Church in this city on Thursday afternoon of last week and the remains were laid to rest in the Menonite Cemetery, six miles north of town. Rev. N. N. Hiebert, of Mountain Lake, Minn., Rev. Christ Reimche, of Harvey, and Rev.F Mindrup, of this city conducted the services.

A large concourse of friends accompanied the remians to the last earthly resting place, showing the high esteem in which the deceased was held by all who knew her.

Among those from out-of-town who attended the funeral were: Geo. E. Seibel, John A. Seibel, Nettie Seibel, and Mrs John Mehlhoff, all of Canada, L. W. Seibel, of Valley City, and Mr. and Mrs. John Herman and son, Henry, of Parkston, South Dakota. (from McClusky Gazette, May 26, 1916)
