James Patrick Brennan, 76, of Tomah, WI, beloved husband of Shirley Neurohr passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2007, after a brave, eleven-month battle against cancer at his home in Tomah, WI.

Jim was born on August 21, 1930 in Chicago, IL to Frank and Helen (Sabella) Brennan. He served in the Naval Reserve and on active duty with the Marines during the Korean Conflict. He married Janet Butler in April, 1958 in Berwyn, Illinois. Subsequently, that marriage ended in divorce. On June 30, 2001, he married his lifelong friend, Shirley Neurohr. They enjoyed many great trips with his Proviso, Illinois High School classmates, and together they toured Europe, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. Jim was proud of completing the Master Gardener course and of the garden he created. He enjoyed reading and appreciated the service given by the Tomah Library Staff. He loved his family, his church, and his adopted city of Tomah.

Jim belonged to St, Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council 4125, Father Heindl Fourth Degree Assembly, Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie 1502, Prairie du Chien, the American Legion, V.F.W., Wisconsin Retired Educators Association and the Monroe County Area Educators.
