Passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Hoyt Nursing Home at the age of 81 years.

The daughter of the late Martin and Betty (Maul) Balcom was born on September 19, 1934 in Saginaw. She married James L. Heidger on August 15, 1953; he predeceased her on August 25, 2013. Sally worked at Sugar Beet Products and Big Brother Big Sister. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church. Sally enjoyed listening to big band music, bridge club with her friends and spending time with her family.

Surviving are her children; James Heidger, Thomas (Kathy) Heidger, Steven (Zelda) Heidger, grandchildren; Nikolaus Heidger, Matthew Aven, Joseph Aven, Andrew Heidger, Jeanette Mack and Keoni Heidger, seven great-grandchildren, brother, David Balcom, and her sister Connie Brown. She was predeceased by a grandson, Thomas Heidger Jr., a great-granddaughter Ava Heidger, her sisters Betty Ruppel, and Charlotte Chambers and brothers Donald Balcom and Kenneth Balcom.

Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Second Presbyterian Church, 2665 Midland Rd. Rev. James Neumann will officiate. Friends may visit with the family on Friday at W. L. Case and Company, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
