She was born July 2, 1934 in Waukesha, the daughter of Alvin and Janet (Blish) Junior. She married Paul Eastling on December 1, 1951. He preceded her in death on December 23, 2003.

Gretel was married to Paul Eastling up unto his passing in 2003. She dedicated her life to being a kind, caring person. She raised eleven children, and as a caregiver; she lovingly took care of people with disabilities.
Gretel was survived by a brother, a sister, nine children, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed.
