He was born Jan.28, 1907, in Munjor to John and Margaret (Rohr) Ruder.
He married Josepha Klaus on May 8,1928, in Munjor. She died Aug. 14,1984.
He was a farmer and spent his lifetime in the Victoria area.
He was a member of St. Fidelis Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus, both of Victoria.
He worked for the Ellis County ASCS office for 29 years and had served as chairman of the Ellis County ASCS committee. He had served on the board of directors for the Victoria Co-op.
Survivors include three sons, Gerald, Grand Forks, N.D., Allen, Victoria, and Wayne, WaKeeney; two daughters, Patricia Lang and Darlene Worth, both of Hays, 26 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and four step great-grand- children.
He was preceded in death by three sons, Virgil, Robert and Donald; two brothers, Fred and Alois "Dutch;" a sister, Adeline Ruder; a half-brother, Elmer J. Pfannenstiel; and two great-grandchildren.
