Memorial Rite Set for Kroyer
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Lemoore Naval Air Station Chapel for Lt. Cmdr. George Peter Kroyer, 37, formerly of Lemoore.
Kroyer died Friday morning at the Naval Regional Medical Center, Oakland.
He was a native of Walworth, Wisc., and graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1960. He had lived in Lemoore for the past six years while serving with various LNAS-based squadrons. At the time of his death, he was assigned to VA-93.
He is survived by his wife, Dana, and two sons, Matthew and Curt Kroyer, temporarily living in Saratoga, Calif.; his mother, Mrs. Dorothy Kroyer, Walworth, Wisconsin.; and two brothers, James of Fairborn, Ohio, and John Kroyer, Charlotte, N.C.
Burial will be at sea. The family has requested that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society in place of flowers.
