Roberta Hanshaw, 55 of Peach Creek, departed this life on Sunday, April 16, 2017 at home peacefully in her sleep. She was born on Dec. 31, 1961 in Logan WV and was the daughter of the late Clyde C. and Marie Crigger Allen, she was also preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Robert L and Madalene Hanshaw, several brother-laws, and a sister-in law.
Roberta was a retired cook and homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, and spending time with her family and her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Marshall C. Hanshaw. Her two sons, Marshall A. Hanshaw of Whitman and Robert "R.C." Hanshaw of Peach Creek. Her two grandsons, whom she loved like her own children, Robert "Alex" Hanshaw and Zerion "Nick" Hanshaw. Her sister, Brenda Allen of Huntington. Her brothers Denny (Paula) Allen of Alabama, Danny (Phyllis) Allen of Ohio, and Timmy (Deanna) Allen of Milton. Her beloved dog, Max, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff of Cornerstone Hospital of Huntington, the staff of Trinity Health Care of Logan, and Dignity Hospice for all the wonderful care they gave our beloved, Roberta, in her time of need.
