Fred J. Weaver, 76, retired Peoria welder and blacksmith, died today at 11 a.m. in Crestview Nursing Home where he was a patient three months. He had suffered from a heart condition the past four years.

Born November 3, 1883, in Carrollton, MO., he had lived at Peoria for 35 years.

He is the son of S.S. and Ida Weaver.

He married Ethel (Mathias) Guber. After the early death of Ethel, Mr. Weaver married Dora Detwiler Mathias at Olathe on September 12, 1920.

He was a member of Carrollton, Missouri Presbyterian Church and had been a member of Wakanda Lodge No. 52, A.F.&A.M. for 41 years.

Surviving are the widow, one step-daughter, Mrs. Clarence F. Prager, 1146 S. Main; two grandchildren, and three brothers, Harry, Oregon; Earl, Missouri; and Edward, Carrollton, MO.

Services will be held at the Lamb Funeral Home Wednesday at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Carrollton.
