Has Been Seriously Ill Since Christmas; Rites Set

Mrs. Mary McClure Kingsbury, widow of B. K. Kingsbury, died at 1:30 o’clock Thursday morning at her apartment at 505 17th street after a long illness, which had been serious since last Christmas. Funeral services will be held at St. Thomas’ Episcopal church at 2 p.m. Saturday. Rev. E. B. Shaner will conduct the services. Interment will be in Memorial Park cemetery. Pallbearers will be David W. Stewart, Lawrence Davidson, Dr. Peire Knott, Bronson Palmer, Paul Hatfield and Dick Tiller. May McClure, as she was known to her friends, was born September 21, 1874, at Foreston, Ill., a daughter of Hay West McClure and and Frances Clementine McClure. The family moved to a ranch near O’Neill, Neb., while she was an infant, and to Sioux City in the late 80s. The McClures lived first in Morningside, later at 1909 Jackson street. May attended Miss Grant’s boarding school in Chicago. She was married to Mr. Kingsbury May 29, 1907, in the Jackson street home. Survivors are a son, Thomas Harold of Des Moines; a daughter, Frances (Mrs. John M. Knott) of Sioux City, and seven grandchildren. A brother, Franklin L. McClure, died some years ago. Perasso Bros. funeral home has charge of funeral arrangements.
