He was a member of the Minneapolis Athletic (Club, Golden Valley Golf Club and North Side Commercial Club.
Survivors included his widow, Ruth M.; sons, Jacob P. Washington, D.C., Eugene G., Navarre, Spain, Charles B. Baltimore, Md., and Robert H., St. Louis, Mo,; a brother, Frank A. Minneapolis, and a sister, Mrs. Fred Thielen, Tucson, Ariz.
