Biographical Information

Henry H Schmidt was born with the naming of Hermann Hinrich Schmidt and was the son of Diederick and Catharine Schmidt. Henry's father passed away in Germany and is buried there, while his mother likely immigrated sometime after her three sons whom I currently am aware immigrated to the USA.

Henry and his wife, Mary, knew one another prior to coming to the States. Mary followed sometime after Henry's arrival. They were married in January 1899 in Douglas County, Nebraska.

Henry's brothers, Herman and John, also settled in the United States.
