Elsie was born at Riverton, Wyoming to Jacob and Maria (Grosch) Fabrizius and lived in Greeley at time of her death. She was confirmed in the Lutheran Church and was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church.
Elsie was a graduate of Riverton High School and attended Barnes Business College in Denver in the late 1940s. She worked as a secretary at Weld County General Hospital and the University of Northern Colorado (UNC). She retired from UNC in1987.

She kept busy during retirement working in her garden of roses, gambling in Blackhawk and going to the “old goats club” that met mornings at McDonalds. She loved her daughter Karen and her dogs which she considered her “grand dogs” But most of all in her own words “my greatest achievement is my daughter Karen” and “I sure am glad she married Tim”.
