Elsie was born at Riverton, Wyoming to Jacob and Maria (Grosch) Fabrizius and lived in Greeley at time of her death. She was confirmed in the Lutheran Church and was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church.
Elsie was a graduate of Riverton High School and attended Barnes Business College in Denver in the late 1940s. She married James Crabb in 1951 (later divorced) and moved to Greeley after her daughter Karen was born. She worked as a secretary at Weld County General Hospital and the University of Northern Colorado (UNC). She retired from UNC in1987.
She enjoyed many sports, especially bowling and golf. She watched the football games and knew the game well from watching her brother Alfred play football while in high school. She kept busy during retirement working in her garden of roses, gambling in Blackhawk and going to the “old goats club” that met mornings at McDonalds. She loved her daughter Karen and her dogs which she considered her “grand dogs” But most of all in her own words “my greatest achievement is my daughter Karen” and “I sure am glad she married Tim”.
Elsie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Karen and Tim Williams of Disney World; along with 21 nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents, brothers Alfred and Harry Fabrizius, sisters Helen Rhinehart and Victoria Randolph, three half sisters; Bertha Dienes, Olinda Webber and Elizebeth Siegfried, four half-brothers; George Fabrizius, Jake Allbrandt, Eugene Allbrandt and Alec Allbrandt.
Internment of ashes will be at Sunset Gardens.
