Yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock, the body of cigar maker J. F. Wilhelm Thielbahr, who died on July 29 at the young age of 25 years, was brought from the home of his parents, No. 117 Henrietta Street, out to Western Cemetery, and lowered into the bosom of the earth. Pastor Joh. Witke of St. Luke's Lutheran Church held a warm and stirring service, during which the following gentlemen served as pallbearers: Joh. Kahl, Viktor Geismann, Thomas John, Mr. Schurz, Mr. Silbermann and Hermann Grödel. Several of the deceased's co-workers from the tobacco firm of F. W. Felgner gave their friend his last escort to the grave.
Mr. Wilh. Thielbahr was born December 22, 1865 at Altschönebeck, Hanover, and came as a child of six-months with his parents to this county. He was single and lived in the home of his parents, who with three brothers and a sister are griefstricken in his death.
