Virginia Boyce Lind of Palm Beach died Saturday, Aug. 5, 2006, in Palm Beach. She was 95.

Mrs. Lind was the only living child of William Dixon Boyce, founder of the Boy Scouts of America. She was a graduate of Miss Porter's School in Farmington, Conn., and a member of the First Families of Virginia Society. During World War II, she served in the Women's Motor Corps. She was a member of The Episcopal Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea and the Bath & Tennis Club as well as the Bathing Corp. of Southampton, N.Y., the Colony Club of New York and the Greenwich Field Club.

Mrs. Lind was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Lind of Palm Beach and Hobe Sound, and her youngest son, William Boyce Mueller.

She is survived by two sons, Oliver James Sterling Jr. and Lee Worthington Mueller, and two grandchildren, Oliver James Sterling III and Vanessa Ruth Lancaster Sterling.
