Funeral Conducted For Clyde Manuel
RIALTO, July 15. Final rites for Clyde Manuel, victim of an automobile accident in San Bernardino on July 11, will be held from the chapel of the Simpson Funeral home at 2 p.m. tomorrow. Interment will be in Park cemetery.
Elder Stephen Hare of Loma Linda and Elder Truesdale of Ontario will officiate at the services and Miss Marian Rick will offer selections at the organ.
Mr. Manuel, who was 40 years of , age, was a native of this city and had resided here throughout his life. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Manuel, of Rialto; one sister, Mrs. Hazel Moore, of Grants Pass, Ore., and one brother, John Manuel, of Ontario.

FINGERPRINTS IDENTIFY MAN
The body of a pedestrian who was struck and killed on Third street Sunday night was identified yesterday as that of Clyde Manuel, 37 years old, San Bernardino and Rialto automobile mechanic.
The identification was first established through fingerprints in the identification bureau of Sheriff Emmett L. Shay and confirmed by his father, B. C. Manuel, sexton of the Rialto cemetery.
For nearly two days the body of the man was unidentified. Manuel had lived in Rialto until recently, when he moved to San Bernardino.
The accident occurred on Third street 150 feet east of Sierra way when Manuel was struck by a car driven by Alexander Smith, 22, of Highland. Coroner R. E. Williams ordered an inquest into the death.
The body is at J. W. Woodhouse & Co. mortuary.

CRASH VICTIM UNIDENTIFIED
A pedestrian killed Sunday night when he was struck by an automobile on Third street in San Bernardino is still unidentified, Coroner R. E. Williams said last night.
The man was killed when he was struck by a car driven by Alexander Smith, 22 years old, of Highland. Smith is employed in San Bernardino and was en route home when the accident occurred.
Smith was given a citation by Douglas Mecham, city traffic sergeant, for driving without an opera tor's license. The accident occurred on Third street a short distance east of Sirra way.
Smith's car was stopped 167 feet from the point of impact which occurred between the car tracks in the middle of the street, said Coroner Williams. The body of the dead man is at the J. W. Woodhouse & Co. He was between 40 and 45 years old, 5 feet, 10 inches in height, had brown hair, gray-blue eyes, had a "Y" scar about one and one-half inches long on the point of his chin, and another half-inch scar on the chin, as well as one about one and one-half inches long on his forehead above the right eye.
He was wearing gray trousers with a one-half inch black stripe, a dark gray shirt, white wool cap and low black oxford shoes. He had an upper dental plate on the right side.
