Virginia H. Ganser - Watertown - 87, formerly of Jefferson, died on Sunday, Aug. 12, 2007, at Watertown Memorial Hospital. She was born on Aug. 11, 1920, in Watertown, the daughter of Henry and Magadalena (Koester) Indra. She married Dennis Ganser on Aug. 4,1945, at St. Henry's Catholic Church in Watertown, with the wedding offiiated by her uncle, Father Hugo Koester. She graduated from Waterwon High School, was a longtime member of St John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson and then, after moving to Watertown, was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Johnson Creek. Virginia was an excellent cook, loved playing cards and traveling. when younger, she enjoyed dancing an crossword puzzle. Most of all she loved spending quality time with her family, being a wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Dennis, of Watertown; her children, Wayne (Jean) Ganser of Stevens Point, Kathy (Bruce)Laird of Spooner, Janice (Gary) Market of Winona, Minn., Jean (Steve) Murphy of Texas, Rodney (Debra) Ganser of Sheboygan, Sandra Lee of Spooner, Debra (Ron) Miles of Waunakee, Denise (John)Lynch of Helenville and Daniel (Anne) Ganser of Kohler; 19 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Paul (Golores) Indra of Watertown and Hugo Indra of Madison; and one sister, Lucille Trachte of Watertown; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; One brother, Francis Indra; and one sister, Loretta Richter. Funeral Mass will be held on Thrusday, Aug. 16, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Johnson Creek with the REv. Bob Hughes officiating. Burial will be in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Jefferson. Friends may call after 10 a.m. at the church on Thrusday until the time of services. Olsen Funeral home in Jefferson is assisting the family with aragemetns.
