CLAYTON -- Anna Marie Allen Barrow, 62, of Clayton, died on December 16, 2002 at Wake Medical surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Marie is survived by her three daughters, Karen Biddle and Howard, Frances Peane McNicholl and Declan, both of Philadelphia, PA, Patricia Motyka Riggs and Tim of Gibsonville, NC . She is survived by grandchildren, Nicole Miley and Josh, Melissa Biddle, Declan Jr., Caitlyn and Paige McNicholl, Stacy, Leata and Stephen Riggs; sisters, Mildred Askew of Raleigh, Betty Lou Burgess and Tom of Woodbridge, VA; brothers, Herman Allen and Thomas Allen and Mary of Clayton. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Babs Allen and Mildred Allen of Clayton. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Marie was preceded in death by an infant son and her parents, Turlon Herman Allen , Sr. and Anna Fife Allen ; brothers, Jonathan Edward Allen and Calvin Allen .
Marie was a very special mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Marie never met a stranger and welcomed everyone with a loving spirit. She enjoyed taking care of her animals, working in her garden, fishing, as well as cooking her special dishes. We will miss her with all of our hearts.
The wake is scheduled for Wednesday night from 6-8 p.m. at McLaurin Funeral Home in Clayton.
The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at McLaurin Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.
