Lillian Lorene Laffoon, 92, of Searcy, died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2007. She was born June 19, 1915 in Rose Bud a daughter of the late Grover and Rosa Mae Fletcher Oliver. She was the widow of Samuel (Sam) Richard Laffoon, a homemaker and a member of the Chapel Lane Freewill Baptist Church. Mrs. Laffoon loved the art of quilting and enjoyed flower gardening. She also enjoyed her "first of the month" pizza lunches with her niece, Jawanda (Oliver) Pulliam; a tradition that was started many years ago with other family members.

She is survived by her sons, David Laffoon (Suzanne) of Searcy and Randle Laffoon of Baton Rouge, La.; two daughters, Sammie McDonald (Max) of Kensett and Tamara Laffoon of Judsonia; three sisters, Opal Holleman of Searcy, Mildred Coffman of Temecula, Calif. and Gene Barnard (Harvey) of Kensett; two very special friends, Mrs. Jean Vandekamp and Mrs. Tommie Brown; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
