Red Creek- William Dietel, 67, died in his sleep Thursday morning (Jan. 1, 1953) at his home in Fair Haven. He was born in Fair Haven and had spent his entire lifetime in that locality. For 40 years he had been associated with the hardware business with his brother Charles Dietel and later by himself. Surviving besides his wife Mrs. Emily Dietel are 2 daughters, Mrs. Thelma Wiley of Fair Haven and Mrs. Dorothy Rowe of Jamesville; 2 grandsons; a sister, Mrs. Arthur Gilbert of Auburn, a half sister Mrs. Harry Brown of Auburn and half brother Otto Dietel of Auburn.
