ROGERS -- Vernon W. C. Rogers, 68, 11345 2nd St., Roscoe, died at 1:51 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15, 1985, in Park Strathmoor Nursing Home after a long illness. Born Aug. 28, 1917, in Rockford, the son of Frank and Augusta Rogers. Lived all his life in Rockford. Married to the former Irene Eleanor Beck in Rockford Aug. 30, 1942. Employed as a tool and die maker by Modern Metal Products Co. for many years before his retirement. Member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Irene; three daughters, Carol Cichon, Roscoe, June Yates, Roscoe, Deborah Beck, Rockford; two sons, Vernon J., Rockford and Donald, Rockton; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Frances Kiftszch; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents and a brother.
Services at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov 18, in Wilbur Christenson Funeral Home Ltd., 925 3rd Ave. Burial in Willwood Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour before service time.
