Rev. Waldemar Richard Morenz-Oeser born to Louis Theodor Morenz and Marie Louise Oeser Morenz. He came to the USA in 1881 aboard the Vandalia from Hamburg, Germany. Waldemar was born in Heiligenhann of Waldheim, Sachsen, Germany. He was born Waldemar Richard Morenz but used Morenz-Oeser and later just the surname Oeser.

He married Ida Anna Hauf daughter of George Hauf, Sr. and Katherina Holzschuh on 09 April 1890 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he had a church at the time.

His first church was in Jefferisburg, Franklin County, Missouri, from there he went to Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania and then to Macksburg, Oregon. From there he went to churches in Red Bluff, California, Los Molinos, California, Campbell, California and finally to Medford, Oregon. After he left the ministry he settled in Ashland, Jackson County, Oregon where he lived out the rest of his life.

Children of Waldemar and Ida were Samuel Henry, Paul Theophil, William Rudolph, Ludwig, John Hans, and Karl Benjamin Oeser. He was predeceased by one son & one daughter, Johannes Carl Oeser and Elsie Ida Oeser.
