Robert Affleck Schmalz, 91, of Helena, Arkansas formerly of Blytheville, Arkansas passed away September 5, 2007, in Helena. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 8, 2007 at Elmwood Cemetery in Blytheville.
Mr. Schmalz was born June 23, 1916 in Ogden, Utah to the late Christopher and Alice Elliott Schmalz. He was a retired Air Force Sgt. He is survived by 2 daughters; Mary Jo Burks and husband Pat of Helena and Rhonda Haley of Florissant, Missouri, 2 granddaughters; Rhonnie Crowley of Helena and Stacy Drain of St Louis, Missouri, 2 great-granddaughters; Charla Jo Crowley of Little Rock, Arkansas and Lauren Davis of St. Louis, 1 great-grandson; Bernie Crowley of West Helena, Arkansas, and 3 great-great-grandchildren; Gaylon Drain, Joshua Drain, and Gray Davis. Mr. Schmalz was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Marie Alice Schmalz.
