SPISAK – Eileen (Stein), 85, passed away May 23, 2011, at Heartland of Marietta in Marrietta, Ohio. Born Sept. 19, 1925, to Frank and Prudence (Brown) Stein. Survived by son and daughter-in-law, Dennis John and Mary Lynn Spisak, Chesterfield, Mo.; and daughters and sons-in-law, Audrey A. and Thomas Custer, Seward; Eileen and Thomas Poznanski, Avon Park, Fla.; and Rose Ann and Dennis Peterson, Marietta, Ohio. In addition to being her daughter, Rose Ann also was Eileen's special friend, especially the past 10 years of her life. Eileen was a proud grandmother of eight grandchildren and great-grandmother to 11. Eileen went to St. Columba grade school in Cambria City and graduated from Johnstown High School in 1944. She performed in her uncle's traveling vaudeville show and was a member of Gene Kelly Dance Studio of Johnstown, where she had the opportunity to dance with Mr. Kelly on several occasions. Eileen gave up her dreams to be a devoted mother to her children. During the years, she sacrificed much to provide them with a strong foundation for life and received much satisfaction from seeing them enjoy happy lives. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 28, at Holy Family Church, Seward, where she was a member for 25 years. A private service and burial of her cremated remains will take place at a future date.
