Louis retired from Dow Chemical Co. in 1982. He proudly served his country in the U S Navy during World War II. Louis held memberships in the Ben Davis Lions club, the American Legion and was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his son John E. (Donna) Kleis and four grandchildren.
Louis is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Marcia Kleis, and sons, Gary and Tom Kleis.
Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic the services will be private, and he will be entombed at Floral Park Cemetery. The family request all memorial gifts be made to the donor’s favorite charity. Flanner Buchanan Floral Park is honored to be entrusted with Louis’s funeral arrangements.
