She was born Feb, 5, 1903 in Sheboygan, a daughter of the late William and Louise (Wittmer) Miller. She attended Jefferson Elementary School and was a graduate of Sheboygan High School. On Nov. 26, 1925, she and Erwln Ritter were united in marriage in Sheboygan, Erwin preceded Helen in death. Helen was employed at the H.C. Prange Co. for over 50 years, until her retirement.
She is survived by her sister, Lillian Zimmerman, Sheboygan; and two nephews, Marvin (Lorraine) Methfessel and Robert (Frieda) Methfessel, both of Sheboygan. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Frieda Methfessel.
Helen was a longtime member of St. John United Church of Christ and the Women's Guild of the church.
A funeral service for Helen will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, 1996, at Ramm-Ziegler-Novak-Rettke Funeral Home, Northside Chapel. The Rev. Gregory Whelton will officiate. Entombment will take place in Garden Terrace Mausoleum. Friends may call at the funeral home, 726 Michigan Ave., from 4 p.m. Thursday, until the time of the service. The St. John's Women's Guild will hold a memorial service at 5 p.m., Thursday. A memorial fund has been established, in Helen's name, for St. John United Church of Christ
