The daughter of Louis and Mabel (Bauman) Marzahl, was born August 20, 1916 in Chicago, IL.
She was a member of the "Done Working" Club at the Senior Center and was a homemaker.
Her parents preceded her in death, along with her brother, Robert Marzahl.
Evelyn is survived by her husband, John Adam Gerling; her sons, Paul Groth and his wife, Toddie and James Gerling and his wife, Pauline, all of Harrison; her grandchildren, Steven Gerling, Allen Gerling, Amy Groth, Becky Chaney, and Carrie Groth; and great grandchildren, Cory Gerling, Kassidy Gerling, Christian McMullen, Nico Groth, and Chelsea Groth. She is also survived by her special niece, Barbara Plaszczewski, of Huntley, IL.
Visitation was at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison, Saturday, November 24, 2007 with the funeral service following. Pastor Gary Crawford will officiate. Burial of her cremated remains will be at a later date at Elmhurst, IL in Mt. Emblem Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions may be made to Red Oak Baptist Church, P.O. Box 2174, Harrison, AR 72602.
