"Eugene Miller Dies Here Sunday Night
Eugene H. Miller, one of the community's most highly respected citizens, died at Waurika Hospital Sunday night at 11:55 o'clock of typhoid fever. The body was shipped to College View, Nebraska, leaving here Monday night where funeral services will be held and interment made.
Mr. Miller is survived by his parents, Rev. and Mrs. C.W. Miller of Lincoln, Nebraska; seven brothers and sisters, and his wife and two children Eileen and Eugene Jr. Mrs. Miller has also been confined to her bed with fever and was unable to accompany the body to Nebraska.
The Miller Family settled in this community in the early days, Rev. Miller homesteading a farm west of Waurika. Rev. Miller returned to Nebraska later and the son has been residing on the farm. U.C. Miller, a brother of the deceased, lives on a farm west of town.
Eugene was born Jan. 26, 1899, and would have been 30 years of age at his next birthday. His death is the first in a family of eight children.
Mr. Miller was an industrious and thrifty young farmer highly respected by his business associates. A young man has been taken in the bloom of life, with a bright future before him. The family has the sympathy of their many friends here and at their former home in Nebraska.
