Sylvia Byer, 82, passed away August 29, 2020, in Bartlesville, Okla. She was born June 15, 1938, in LaCrosse, to George H. and Edith C. (Williams) Kaiser. Sylvia had previously been married to William R. Byer. (divorced in 1974)
Sylvia, a long time Great Bend resident, previously living in Independence, Kan., was a retired school teacher for USD 431, Hoisington. She was a member of SCA, and enjoyed traveling, reading, camping, cooking, research in various middle ages related topics, photography and genealogy.
Survivors include two sons, two daughters, one sister, eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
