BEDFORD -- Evan Michael Schwager, 18, died May 10, 2008, at his home.
He was born in Manchester, Oct. 14, 1989, to Joan (Gallagher) Guild and Brian J. Schwager. He attended local schools and was a senior at Manchester West High School where he was an honors student.
He was a junior varsity soccer player for two years and a varsity soccer player for two years at West and was also a member of the Outing Club. He enjoyed snowboarding, music, and writing lyrics and poetry.
He loved West High School, and the teachers and administration. He worked at Hannaford's in Bedford and had been accepted at the University of South Oregon in the environmental study program and pre law.
Family members include his parents, Joan and Jeff Guild of Bedford, and Brian and Reanna Schwager of Amherst; three sisters, Casey Guild of Bedford, and Carly Lorden and Jennifer Schwager of Amherst; a brother, Michael J. Schwager of Amherst; his grandparents, Lorraine Gallagher of Goffstown, Frederick and Madeline Schwager of Westerly, R.I., Janice Glass of Medford, Ore., and James and Jill Guild of Bedford; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be held Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Durning, Bykowski & Young Funeral Home, 285 Manchester St., corner of Beech St., Manchester. The funeral service will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Raphael Church, 103 Walker St., Manchester. Everyone is asked to please meet at the church.
