She was born July 30, 1912, in the Town of Glenmore, to the late Christian and Emma (Enz) Schelter. Pearl married Wilmer Nickel Sept. 1, 1934, at United Methodist Church, Lark. He preceded her in death on Nov. 26, 1986. On July 15, 1987, she married Earl Prust in Hobbs, New Mexico. Earl died December 4, 1989. Pearl and her husband, Wilmer Nickel, operated a small farm in Hobart for many years.
She loved playing the piano and was a wonderful seamstress. She created beautiful handiwork and enjoyed decorating her home with her artistic talent. Pearl was a gracious hostess. She had many friends and family members who enjoyed wonderful meals and times of fellowship with her. Pearl was much loved for her caring ways and beautiful spirit. She will be greatly missed.
Survivors include a sister, Fern Buck, Wayside; step-children, Lorna Graben, Albuquerque, N.M.; James and Martha Prust, Wrightstown; David and Elizabeth Prust, De Pere; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Irene Roels, Leona Blecke and Sayde Weaver and one brother, Aaron Schelter.
Friends may call from 12 noon to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2007, at United Methodist Church (7019 Dickinson Road) Lark. Funeral service 2 p.m. at the church with Rev. Becky Kindshi officiating. Burial in Nicolet Memorial Gardens.
