Marcella Hogrebe of the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Senior Residence in Woodbridge. She was 89 years old. Born in Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania, she resided in Avenel for the past 56 years. Mrs. Hogrebe was a longtime communicant of St. Andrew R.C. Church in Avenel.

She was predeceased by her husband, James A. Hogrebe, in 2012. Surviving are her daughter, Jayne Ann Bodner, of Edison; three sons, James “Skip” Hogrebe of Avenel, Tony Hogrebe of Avenel and Michael Hogrebe of Bayville; three sisters, Maureen Bilbow of Wilkes-Barre, PA, Winifred Kitchen of Hanover Township, PA and Theresa Cool of Keyport; a brother, John Glennon, of Laurel, MD; 13 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. from Costello-Koyen Funeral Homes (www.costello-koyen.com), 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Andrew R.C. Church, Avenel. Entombment will be at Cloverleaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge. Visitation will be on Thursday from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project (www.wounded-warrior.org), P.O.
