Elfriede C. Skiendziel (nee Brune), 91 of Elyria, Grafton and Westlake passed away Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Regency Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 11, 1929 in Neuss, Germany to parents Eduard and Margarethe (nee Rembold) Brune.

Elfriede was a Professional Tailor who owned and operated Midway Custom Tailors. She enjoyed driving in the country and to the Lake, gardening, bird watching, sewing, crocheting, knitting clothes, blankets and crafts. She volunteered for Lorain County as a foster mother and continued to care for people her entire life. She even watched over the other folks with her in the nursing home.

She is survived by her beloved children Anita Smith (Bradford), Edie Bailey (James), George (Tina) and Rita Rowe (Michael); cherished grandchildren Tobias Smith, Erica Carbone (Scott), Damien Wolff, Joshua (Heidi), Erik (Trish) and Chad; 6 great-grandchildren; dear sister Helga Willems.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Helmut and Hubert.
