Reifschneider - Hermann L., 82, Lincoln, formerly Grand Forks, N.D., died Sunday (5/4/03) after a courageous battle with cancer. Born, Lincoln, to John and Mary Reifschneider. Attended local schools, graduated from Lincoln School of Commerce. Veteran, U.S. Air Force, World War II, 51 months. Employed 29 years by Implement Dealers Mutual Insurance Co., Grand Forks, in various capacities, retiring as chairman of the board and chief executive officer in June 1985. During insurance career he was director of American Life and Casualty Co. in Fargo, N.D., and American Liberty Insurance Co. in Birmingham, Ala. Past director and vice president, Grand Forks Chamber of Commerce; chairman, Grand Forks Military Affairs Committee; general manager, North Dakota Insurance Guaranty Association; past president, Grand Forks Lions Club. Member: WSI; American Historical Society of Germans from Russia; Lincoln Golden "K" Kiwanis Club. Honorary life member, Knights of Columbus; 56-year member, American Legion.
