He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was a retired Car Repairman from Norfolk-Southern Railway.
Surviving are his daughters, Karol Killinger Lurch and husband, David, of Stafford, Va., Edith Elaine Conkling of Jonesboro, Ga.; four grandsons; his sister, Dorothy Ann Killinger of Roanoke; his nephew, Davy Lee Robertson of Roanoke.
A funeral service will be held at Oakey's South Chapel on Saturday, January 31, 2004 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Bruce D. Tuttle officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Sherwood Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank all of Karl's (B.K.K.) friends for all their many acts of kindness, love and concern for him over the years. Oakey's South Chapel is handling funeral arrangements.
