At 2:30am on July 7th 2020, Lillian Marie Larson of Lynnwood, Washington went home to be with the Lord in Heaven. She was 95 years old.

Lillian was one of 5 children born to Callie & Hjalmar Carlson in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Lillian grew up in Minnesota, where she later became very active in the Salvation Army church. Introduced by her future father-in-law, Lillian married Richard Larson after his discharge from the Navy in 1950. Soon, the couple were blessed with their daughter, Cindy.

Lillian worked in a dry-cleaning company, then became an Accountant for Salvation Army, which was a career she held for many years. In her daughter’s senior year of high school, the family moved to Florida for about 10 years, to leave behind the cold Minnesota winters. When their daughter and her husband were blessed with their son Connor, Lillian & Richard moved to Washington State to help raise their grandson – and this was one of Lillian’s greatest joys.

Lillian was very loving, caring and giving. She was a godly woman and prayer warrior. She loved going to church, worship and bringing people to Christ. She came from a musical family and had a beautiful voice. Lillian even sang with her sisters on the radio and also performed on the steps of the Capital building in Saint Paul.

She enjoyed quilting and for many years, Lillian made quilts for the homeless. Lillian was very social and everyone loved her. She had a warm presence and she was beautiful, inside and out.

Her daughter will miss going to church with mom, having lattes and donuts together and going thrift shopping at Goodwill – which was one of Lillian’s favorite pastimes, even at 95 years old.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents Callie & Hjalmar Carlson, her siblings Shirley, Alice & Harry Carlson, her mother and father in-law Signe & Clarence Larson and her husband of 62 years, Richard Larson. Those who remain to cherish Lillian’s memory include her brother Alan Carlson, her daughter Cindy (Norman) Shivley and her grandson, Connor Shivley.

Lillian will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington.

Arrangements entrusted to Evergreen Funeral Home & Crematory, Everett, WA.
