Marie Stanko Thompson, 73, of Kissimmee, FL passed away on December 11, 2019. She was born on November 15, 1946, to Michael and Jane (Gouirand) Stanko in Kissimmee, FL. She was a lifelong resident of Osceola County. She was a graduate of Osceola High School and attended Florida Technical College. She was an Office Manager in the Insurance Industry. She was preceded in death by her husband; Dennis Franklin Thompson who passed away on September 24, 2017. Marie is survived by her loving family; sons, D. Stuart (Shannon) Berry of Jacksonville, NC, Ryan (Patricia) Berry of Harmony, FL; daughters, Jane Berry of Kissimmee, FL, Amanda Chamber of St. Cloud, FL; stepsons, Scott Thompson of Ft. Myers, FL, Mark (Kim)Thompson of CT and a brother, Bill (Cheryl) Stanko of NC. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Kimber, Darwyn, Newton, Edison, and Jada. The family will receive friends for a memorial gathering on Sunday, December 15, 2019, from four o'clock pm to six o'clock pm. A memorial service will be conducted that same day at six o'clock pm with Pastor Steve Moser officiating. All will take place in the Chapel of Osceola Memory Gardens Funeral Home in St. Cloud. She will be laid to rest at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery with her beloved husband, Dennis, at a later date.
