She was born on June 17, 1917, in Roselle, Illinois, the daughter of Arthur and Frieda Schumacher Stellhorn. On August 8, 1942, she married Gerhard Schroth, in Milwaukee.
Mildred was a longtime member of Emmaus Lutheran Church in Racine and served for many years as their church secretary. She was the first female Rotary member in Racine as well as the longtime secretary for the Racine Symphony Orchestra.
She is survived by four daughters: Carolyn (Dan), Susan (Ron), Elizabeth (Christopher) and Christine; she is further survived by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerhard, and her daughter, Mary Margaret “Mimi” Sager.
