Son of Christopher Houck (Hauck), b. 1860/2 of Germany and Caroline (nee?) b. 1867 (N.Y.) Christopher arrived 1881/5, from Germany, married 1888, and resided in Syracuse , Onondaga County, New York, per 1900 Federal Census. He was a shoemaker.
Per 1910/1920 Federal Census, removed to Irvington, Essex County, N.J. He worked at Eisele Factory, which his daughter, Elsie Houck (Hauck) 1895-1988 married to Julius Eisele 1885-1975.
