Emma's stone is alongside Matilda Foelker and her husband August. Reading Matilda's obit, it is confirmed that Emma was a sister to Matilda.


In the 1900 Census, Emma was single, 24 and living with her family in the Hartland home.

The records are confusing, it appears that married Rev. Hase on August 1902 in Shawano, WI. Nothing more could be found about this union.

Emma married Gerhard Loseke in 1909.

In 1920 Census, Emma was 44 and Gerhard Loseke, were farming in Columbus, Platte, Neb. Gerhard was 67 yrs old and immigrated from Germany in 1858. His first marriage had been to Catharina Elise Mueller on July 13, 1873. They had ten children born between 1875 to 1893. Catharina died in 1893 at age 38. There were no children living in the household in 1920 with Emma and Gerhard.

In the 1930 Census, Gerhard was 71 and Emma, 56 and they were still farming.

Gerhard died in 1932 and was buried in Nebraska. Emma returned to her family in Gillett, where she lived out her remaining years and was buried there in the family plot.
