Katheryn E. Worster, 99, of Lincoln, went home to be with the Lord Friday, January 4, 2013. Katheryn was born on March 28, 1913 in Billings, Mont. to John & Katherine (Reel) Knaub. She worked at Miller and Paine Co. for 29 years. She was an avid gardener, a Husker sports fan, loved sewing, knitting and cross-stitching. Katheryn was a dedicated mother, wife, and friend. Lifelong member of Faith United Church of Christ.
Survived by her sisters: Flora Fox, Las Vegas, Nev.; Geraldine Pitts, Harrison, Ark.; Delbert Clements (favorite nephew), Lincoln; sisters-in-law: Frieda Walter, Lincoln, Eunice Worster, Lincoln; Irene Worster, Portland, Ore., and Louise Worster, Lincoln; many nieces and nephews; best friend, Elsie Danahy, Lincoln. Preceded in death by: parents; John and Katherine Knaub; husband, Peter Worster; son, Gary Worster (friend to all); sisters, Marie Grasmick, Lydia Quattrocchi, Irene Knaub, and Clara Young; brothers, George Knaub, Alex Knaub, and Gerald Knaub.
Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday (1/12), Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home, 4040 A Street, Pastor Bill Thornton officiating. Visitation: Friday (1/11), 9am-9pm. Interment: Lincoln Memorial Park following reception.
