Jason Paul Brinke, age 17, of Lake Township passed away at home Thursday, May 31, 2007. Jason was a student in the Wood County Special Education program at Bowling Green High School. He was a silver and gold medallist in swimming for the Special Olympics. He loved sports especially basketball and he was a Pittsburgh Steelers Fan. Jason is survived by his loving parents, Paul and Barbara Brinke, sister, Melissa Brinke, brothers, Kevin and Eric Brinke, grandparents, Tom and Alice Badik, Hans and Jimmie Brinke, Joanne Rosato, great-grandmother, Bernadette Rosato, and many aunts and uncles. Jason especially loved all his cousins.

Friends may visit Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd. in Oregon (419) 693-9304, Monday, June 4, 2007 from 2-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Jerome's Catholic Church, 300 Warner St. in Walbridge at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Burial will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be sent to the Wood County Special Olympics.
